When You Register for an Account

When you create an Account, we collect the information from you such as your name, email and password so that you can log in to your account. The email is collected for services such as forgot password, in case you forget your password and we can safely help you recover your password using Forgot Password feature on our Site. We never use your email to contact you without you initiating the conversation nor we sell any of the data to third party. Although Alias URL Shortener reserves the right to contact you when we believe it is necessary, such as for administrative and account management purposes.

When You Create a Alias URL Shortener Link

The main purpose of the website is to create shortened uniform resource locators (URLs) of websites ("Alias" or "Alias Links"). Users can create Alias Links without registering for an account. When you create an Alias Link, Alias collects and stores both the original URL and shortened URL and, if you are logged in your Account, we will associate that information with your Account. We do not collect nor store an IP Address's or any location neither we report the same to our users. Only the number of clicks gathered by that shortened URL is stored with the destination URL to report back to users.

When You Interact With Alias Link

Alias URL Shortener only collects the number of clicks with every Alias Link created through Services (on our alias.live links) on a third-party website.

We use Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to analyze how the user interacts with our website helping us in making the necessary changes to the make the Site better. We are not responsible for data collection and usage of data by these listed third parties. 

Who we share your data with

We do not share your data with any third party for any reason.

How long we retain your data

In this section you should explain how long you retain personal data collected or processed by the web site. How we protect your data

Your data is stored in an encrypted database which makes the data at rest secured. The data in transit is secured using HTTPS protocol that encrypts the data from you to our servers.

Alias URL Shortener is not responsible for any harm caused by links created on its platform. While we do take steps to stop spam and phishing links created using our URL Shortener, some might still get by and we advise the user to take precautions while interacting with those links.
